NEC announced on 2 September that it would launch its autonomous managed services. Using frontier AI, the service covers the process from asset discovery through vulnerability remediation and is scheduled to begin serving financial institutions, manufacturers, and retail and service companies at the end of September.
NEC announced at a media briefing held at its headquarters that it would launch AI-powered autonomous managed services. The service provides one-stop support covering the entire process from identifying asset information through vulnerability detection, risk analysis, prioritization, development and implementation of remediation measures, and operational improvement.
The service will be provided under the BluStellar platform and is scheduled to begin deployment at the end of September for financial institutions, manufacturers, and retail and service companies. NEC explained that the service uses AI to integrate and analyze asset information, vulnerability information, and business impact, automatically identifying priorities for each customer.
NEC also disclosed that it had developed “cotomi Security for Industry,” a security technology that uses AI to continuously analyze vulnerability remediation status and operational data. NEC said it aims to generate ¥30 billion in revenue over 3 years.
NEC presented an initiative to use itself as client zero and incorporate practical knowledge into the service, saying it aims to continuously improve cyber resilience.
