The next season of Japan's Commander event, Commander Gathering: Sweet/Spicy, and its related events has been announced, with the event period set for 12 September to 31 December 2026. The Commander Gathering Special Caravan will also take place during the period, providing support including official staff dispatches and deck lending.
Sweet and Spicy are categories based on players' motivations. Sweet emphasizes enjoyment for the entire table, while Spicy assumes play focused on reaching a decisive conclusion. Each participant is scheduled to receive benefits including a player card upon first participation, flavor-text stickers based on the number of login days, and Commander sleeves.
Distribution of My Prof Cards and stickers will begin on 10 October 2026. The cards are designed as business-card substitutes that can be placed in the Commander area, with space to write a nickname and other information. Additional measures to make participation easier include play support and deck lending through the caravan, as well as official creators traveling around the country.
As related information on the Special Caravan, collaborators known for their YouTube activities are being invited, and a list of participating stores will be provided in PDF form. Event announcements are scheduled to be updated periodically on stores' social media accounts and other channels.
The announcement is intended to expand the community through Commander Gathering and encourage participation by a broad range of players, from beginners to heavy users.
