Beijing has issued a new notice imposing a total ban on possessing, flying or bringing drones into the city, with the regulations taking effect on 15 November. Individuals and companies that already own drones are being asked either to dispose of them or take them outside the city.
Beijing announced on the 13th an updated version of its Drone Management Regulations, imposing a total ban on possessing, flying or bringing drones into the city.
The regulations will take effect on 15 November. Individuals and companies that already own drones are being asked either to dispose of them or take them outside the city.
Beijing said the measure is intended to maintain security in the capital. In June this year, a small aircraft crashed into a high-rise building in central Beijing, reportedly prompting the authorities to heighten their vigilance.
