日本モウルド工業 developed the “Tomato CP” cushioning tray for tomatoes while maintaining performance equivalent to the previous product. The tray reduces the height of a 100-unit package to approximately 75% of the previous product, aiming to improve loading efficiency.
On 28 May 2026, 日本モウルド工業株式会社 announced its new “Tomato CP” product, which reduces the height of a 100-unit package while maintaining the same usability as its conventional tomato trays. The company emphasizes that the product offers performance equivalent to its previous products.
The product is designed to improve loading efficiency in response to rising logistics costs. It was developed in cooperation with シブヤ精機株式会社, a manufacturer of produce sorting facilities, with the aim of achieving both mechanical separation and loading efficiency.
The product will be available in 6 sizes: 16H, 18H, 20H, 24H, 28H and 32H, and is scheduled to be supplied through 日本モウルド工業株式会社. Its key feature is a design that reduces packing height while maintaining packing and separation performance equivalent to the previous product.
Following the launch of Tomato CP, the company plans to consider expanding its broader lineup, and a company representative indicated an intention to continue developing products aimed at improving loading efficiency.
