xTool and Creema have announced the five winning works from their collaboration, which proposes new approaches to product creation using desktop-class laser cutters. The winning works overcome the limitations on output from manual production and demonstrate the use of material combinations and value-added design.
The five selected works are The Magic Crayons’ “Tokyo Wooden Layer Map,” which won the grand prize; jin’s “Ori-Akari – Full Moon,” which won the runner-up prize; D.RELIC’s “Fairy Lantern (Crystal Laser Internal Engraving),” which placed third; AoLino’s “Eco-Resin Clock,” which placed fourth; and Cocoropal’s “Speed Customization Nameplate,” which placed fifth.
The works are characterized by sophisticated processing using xTool equipment, including the reproduction of complex urban models, the fusion of different materials, internal engraving, multifunctional design, and the ability to respond immediately to individual situations.
Looking ahead, xTool has stated that it will provide equipment and services that lower the barriers to digital manufacturing while supporting creators in expanding their businesses.
