Anritsu and Candox Systems will begin offering a chamberless mass-production testing solution for 60GHz-band radar and sensor products in October 2026. The testing environment can be established without a large anechoic chamber, and its correlation with certification tests under Japan’s Radio Law was verified through testing by an independent organization.
Anritsu announced that it will collaborate with Candox Systems to offer a chamberless mass-production testing solution for 60GHz-band radar and sensor products. The testing environment does not require a large anechoic chamber and is designed to maintain correlation with certification testing. The service will launch in October 2026. Verification was conducted at the laboratory of TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd., an independent certification body, which confirmed correlation among the measured values.
In recent years, 60GHz-band radar and sensors have been used in a broad range of applications, including human presence detection, moving-object detection, and industrial equipment, driving market expansion. The industry has faced the challenge of establishing a mass-production testing environment that limits the space required for testing equipment and capital investment while maintaining consistency with certification testing under Japan’s Radio Law.
The solution combines Anritsu’s millimeter-wave measurement solution, centered on a signal analyzer, with Candox Systems’ near-field probe supporting the 60GHz band. It compares and evaluates far-field measurement results against those obtained with the solution and provides difference data. This creates a measurement environment that can be readily introduced to production lines without a large chamber, helping reduce implementation and operating costs and improve productivity.
Through the collaboration, Anritsu aims to support 60GHz-band radar and sensor products from certification under Japan’s Radio Law through mass-production testing, contributing to shorter production ramp-up times and quality assurance. It will continue working with related companies to provide measurement solutions supporting the expansion of the millimeter-wave sensing market.
