Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Limited will implement Usonar's LBC corporate database in its sales support system for insurance agents from 2025. The system will use LBC's data analysis capabilities to support the enhancement of proposal content.
Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Limited, a core company of the MS&AD Insurance Group, plans to implement Usonar's LBC corporate database in the sales support system used by its insurance agents from 2025. LBC is positioned as one of Japan's largest data platforms, assigning 11-digit codes to more than 12.5 million business locations and centrally managing over 120 attributes, including industry, revenue and employee headcount.
The decision to implement LBC was driven in part by the ability to establish the foundations for data utilization, including more precise entity matching and data cleansing, visualization of prospects with which the company has no existing business relationship, and more sophisticated targeting. Yokoyama Teruki (横山 輝樹) of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance's Data Insight Group discussed the challenges before implementation, the factors behind the decision and its expected benefits.
