CREEK & RIVER Co.,Ltd. (C&R) announced that it will hold a free online seminar on the basics of the Freelance Act for creators working as freelancers and those commissioning their services, from 19:00 to 20:00 on Monday, 5 October. Details are available in the information on the organizer’s website and via the linked page. Participation is free, and capacity is limited to 60 people.
The seminar will cover the outline and purpose of the Freelance Act, the obligations imposed on commissioning businesses, points requiring attention in transactions involving freelancers, lessons from actual recommendations issued by the authorities, and practical approaches to preventing disputes before they arise. Rather than focusing on the finer details of the statutory provisions, it will examine transaction practices that are likely to cause problems in the field and the points requiring attention for both parties.
The speaker will be Masaki Endo (遠藤正樹), representative of Beans Administrative Scrivener Office. As a specialist who bridges the gap between creators and legal and security matters, Endo will provide an explanation that incorporates support for preparing contracts and terms of use, as well as information-security considerations. The seminar will be held online and is intended to be useful not only to creators but also to corporate personnel responsible for commissioning work and managers.
