LAC and Rikkei have entered into a memorandum of understanding on a comprehensive business alliance aimed at expanding their cybersecurity businesses in Japan and the APAC region. Going forward, the companies will jointly promote service planning and provision and talent development, with the aim of strengthening security operations at Japanese companies.
LAC and Rikkei entered into an MOU on 8 October 2026 aimed at expanding their cybersecurity businesses in Japan, Vietnam and the APAC region. The companies will jointly consider expanding into the APAC market, starting with Japan.
The alliance mainly covers two areas. First, the companies will jointly plan, propose and provide security services, combining LAC's technical capabilities with Rikkei's multilingual personnel and overseas delivery framework. Second, they will promote talent development in cybersecurity, aiming to train global personnel capable of working in both Japanese and English.
The shortage of cybersecurity personnel and the need to secure operational frameworks in the APAC region have been identified as challenges. The companies aim to address these issues by expanding Japanese-quality security services overseas. Rikkei will use the group's education and talent-development platform to support Japanese companies' IT and digital transformation initiatives.
Going forward, the companies have confirmed that they will discuss the specific initiatives and division of responsibilities in their collaboration and jointly consider expanding their businesses from Japan into the Vietnam and APAC markets.
