OpenAI's decision-focused Decisions API became generally available on 22 October. Early adopters have reported positive results, while NVIDIA announced its Kumo Relational predictive AI foundation model, which requires no additional training.
OpenAI has launched general availability for Decisions API, which specializes in small decision-making tasks such as classifying and routing AI applications. It is built on GPT-6 Luna and claims to be up to 10 times faster than before. Pricing is $0.10 per 1 million input tokens, with no charge for output tokens. It supports 3 response formats, predicate, choice and score, and can process up to 400 questions per request. It also supports image and JSON inputs and can integrate with GPT-Live.
Early adopters including Box and Datadog have reported that response times became 40 times faster and costs fell by 90%. Decisions Playground, which can be tried in a browser, has also been released.
