Noritz has signed an exclusive import and general distribution agreement with Singapore-based Akashi Water Solutions and will begin importing and selling instantaneous electric water heaters locally. Shipments are scheduled to begin in December, with Home One Water Heater handling local sales, installation, inspections and repairs.
Noritz announced that, as part of its business expansion in Singapore, it had signed an exclusive import and general distribution agreement with local company Akashi Water Solutions. Dated 6 October, the agreement provides for Akashi to receive shipments through Home One Water Heater, a joint venture funded by Japanese and local capital.
Noritz will import and sell instantaneous electric water heaters under its own brand. The products are manufactured by an affiliate of Noritz with overseas bases including Vietnam. Home One will handle local wholesale distribution, sales, installation, inspections and repairs.
Shipments are scheduled to begin in December, and Noritz aims to expand in Southeast Asian markets. It already sells products in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos.
Through this initiative, Noritz will make its first entry into the Singapore market.
