大西拓 (大西拓), selected from the frontline, will become 勝山電気工事's new president in November 2026. Marking its 40th anniversary, the company has chosen a form of business succession in which an employee, rather than a member of the founding family, assumes the role.
勝山電気工事, which has worked over approximately 30 years to move from subcontracting to prime contracting after emerging from a situation of losses and excess liabilities since its founding, expects sales of approximately ¥750 million in the current fiscal year (fiscal year 39). In September 2026, when it marked its 40th anniversary, the company was pursuing both a stronger management base and the establishment of a new management structure.
The candidate for new president was selected through a vote of all employees, with responses submitted through 4 questions, including self-nominations. As a result, 大西拓 (大西拓), the current senior managing director, was deemed suitable to become the next president and will take office after an approximately 2-year assessment period.
After joining the company in 2015, 大西拓 (大西拓) worked on the frontline as an electrician before taking charge of the construction management division. He is expected to lead the company with an understanding of both frontline operations and management, and plans to pursue challenges and growth suited to the times based on “reliable technical expertise,” “pride in electrical construction” and “hospitality.”
Under the new management structure, the company aims to achieve sales of ¥1 billion in fiscal year 42 (2028) and is considering new business development, including potential M&A involving facilities companies and electrical construction companies. The company is expected to maintain its focus on returning the benefits of employees' efforts to them and contributing to the local community.
