China's Siengine raised more than $200 million in the first half of 2026 and will strengthen its global mass-production system for 7nm automotive chips. It also announced the SE2000, an AI cockpit and driving-integration chip using a next-generation 5nm process, with installation in finished vehicles targeted for 2027. The developments involve fundraising, including additional investments from existing shareholders and industrial investors, together with an expanded product lineup.
China's semiconductor company Siengine announced in its financial results for the first half of 2026 that it had strengthened, alongside the fundraising, its large-scale mass-production system for automotive-grade chips using a 7nm process, which it has been developing since 2016. The amount raised exceeded approximately $200 million (about ¥32 billion), with investments from industrial and local state-owned capital, including Shandong Hi-Speed Group, Longding Investment and G&O Capital.
The funds will be used to strengthen the global mass-production system for automotive chips and expand its computing-platform business for edge AI. Its flagship products include Dragon Eagle One (SE1000), a smart-cockpit chip, and the company has established a position as China's first company to achieve large-scale mass production of 7nm automotive chips.
