No official livestream was held for the “Pro and Tell” event on 28 October. The announcement materials were limited to a press release, a news-release video and clips for the media. The video was released at 2:13 a.m., and touch-operation materials were provided at the same time.
The main product is the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display, available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes and equipped with either an M5 Pro or M5 Max chip. It was reported that the previous M6 chip would not be used. Apple calls the display tandem OLED, incorporates touch sensors inside it and demonstrated new ways to use Touch.
In Italy, published pricing starts at €3,399 for the 14-inch model and €3,999 for the 16-inch model, with pre-orders beginning on 28 October. Shipments begin on 6 November, while US pricing is presented separately.
Following the announcement, the MacBook Pro lineup has been organized into 3 ranges. The OLED-equipped models are reported to be suited to uses that prioritize a wide color gamut and deep blacks. Touch support, reduced weight and longer battery life were among the highlighted features.
No official replay video of the livestream or keynote video was provided, and no additional distribution has been confirmed at this time.
