Mochida Pharmaceutical will hold “My Body Lab,” an experiential event in Tokyo and Osaka designed to help participants experience and understand menstrual discomfort. Admission is free, and the event aims to provide accurate information and lower the barriers to seeing a gynecologist through a quiz rally and educational panels.
Mochida Pharmaceutical will hold “My Body Lab,” an experiential event for women who tend to put up with menstrual discomfort, at 2 venues in Tokyo and Osaka. The Tokyo venue will be OMOTESANDO MUSEUM, and the Osaka venue will be Namba CITY Galleria Court. Both events will run from late October to early November 2026. Admission is free. Visitors will receive gifts, and foaming soap that can also be used to wash the intimate area is scheduled to be given by lottery to a total of 400 survey respondents. A dedicated website is also available. The campaign aims to improve women’s health literacy by providing accurate information and encouraging visits to a gynecologist.
The event was planned based on the results of a survey of 3,000 women aged 16–49, which examined menstrual discomfort from multiple perspectives and indicated that many women experience significant discomfort. The survey found that 38% of respondents said they basically put up with their menstrual pain, 84% used painkillers, and only 15% went as far as visiting a hospital or taking time off work. Against this backdrop, providing accurate information and guidance on seeking medical care has been identified as important.
