For the fiscal year ended August 2026, Goodpatch Inc. reported higher revenue but lower operating profit and net income, affected by the recognition of extraordinary losses and other factors. The number of customers reached a record high.
Goodpatch Inc. announced in its summary of financial results for the fiscal year ended August 2026 that revenue rose 2.2% year on year to approximately ¥5.2 billion, achieving higher revenue. Meanwhile, operating profit fell 19.8% to approximately ¥400 million, ordinary profit fell 3.0% to approximately ¥600 million, and net income attributable to owners of the parent fell 13.1% to approximately ¥400 million, resulting in lower profitability. The end or downsizing of large projects and the recognition of extraordinary losses were cited as factors.
In the core Design Partner business, the number of customer companies reached a record high, but average monthly revenue per customer declined 3.6% year on year. This led to lower profitability, while an impairment loss on investment securities of approximately ¥500 million and an impairment loss of approximately ¥100 million also weighed on net income.
On the balance sheet, total assets declined 2.6% from the previous fiscal year-end to approximately ¥5.1 billion, liabilities fell sharply to approximately ¥700 million, and net assets were approximately ¥4.4 billion, improving the equity ratio to 86.4%. Cash flow from operating activities declined to approximately ¥200 million, while investing activities resulted in an outflow of approximately ¥1.3 billion, mainly due to the placement of time deposits. Financing activities resulted in an outflow of approximately ¥200 million.
