Niche Sales of Minato-ku, Tokyo, installed sponsored signs at all 7 fire hydrant markers around the National Stadium. Signage usage fees will be allocated to maintenance and management costs, making this the first initiative of its kind to support local disaster-prevention infrastructure.
Niche Sales installed sponsored signs at all 7 fire hydrant markers located around the National Stadium, also known as MUFG Stadium. Signage usage fees will be allocated to the maintenance and management of the fire hydrant markers, with the aim of supporting local disaster-prevention infrastructure.
Installation was completed on 2 October 2026. The area surrounds the National Stadium, starting from JR Sendagaya Station. The initiative is positioned as a measure in anticipation of congestion ahead of the Japan national team’s international friendly scheduled for 5 October.
There are approximately 120,000 fire hydrant markers nationwide, which are maintained and managed by private companies. Signage usage fees provide funding for marker maintenance, and increasing awareness and use of sponsorship slots remains an issue.
Representative Director Okada Takeshi (岡田 猛志) said that he saw significance in contributing to the safety and security of the local community and decided to install sponsored signs at all 7 locations around the National Stadium.
