Full-scale operations have begun for MediGO, a market adoption platform for medical device startups, with Plug and Play Japan and メディアスホールディングス entering into a strategic partnership. MediGO provides an environment that supports the development of post-launch adoption and sales capabilities.
Plug and Play Japan announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with メディアスホールディングス and begun full-scale operations of MediGO, a market adoption platform for medical device startups. MediGO provides the community and infrastructure needed to accelerate post-launch market adoption and aims to create an environment that promotes adoption and establishment in the field.
In Japan’s medtech sector, startups have faced difficulties in building nationwide sales networks on their own after obtaining regulatory approval, with challenges also identified in concentrating development in specific fields and achieving adoption in clinical settings. In response, MediGO will establish a framework to support the securing of distribution channels both in fields where synergies with major companies are expected and in other fields.
Under MediGO’s operating structure, メディアスホールディングス will use its nationwide sales network, logistics infrastructure and field data to systematically support post-launch adoption and sales capabilities, while Plug and Play Japan will provide ecosystem-building expertise and its VC network to promote collaboration among participating startups.
The MediGO launch kickoff event is scheduled to take place at Tokyo Innovation Base from 18:00 to 20:30 on 1 October 2026. The program is expected to include a keynote speech, startup pitches, a panel discussion and networking.
