Yoshizawa Yuzuki (吉沢柚月), 22, of women's professional golf, has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Nomura Holdings. Following her success after passing the professional qualifying test in 2023, including her first win this season and a runner-up finish at the Japan Women's Professional Golf Championship, she said she aims to compete on the global stage.
Yoshizawa Yuzuki (吉沢柚月) announced on 1 October that she had entered into a sponsorship agreement with Nomura Holdings. Yoshizawa, 22, is affiliated with Mitsubishi Electric and is part of the Diamond generation.
After passing the professional qualifying test on her second attempt in 2023, she broke through this season, winning her first tour title at the Hokkaido meiji Cup in August and finishing runner-up at the Japan Women's Professional Golf Championship, a major, in September. She currently ranks seventh in the Mercedes ranking.
In announcing the agreement, Yoshizawa said she would continue working toward becoming a player capable of competing on the global stage, keeping the word "challenge," one of the principles in Nomura Holdings' corporate philosophy, close to her heart.
The agreement establishes a sponsorship relationship under which Nomura Holdings will support Yoshizawa's future activities, and is expected to increase her exposure through future tour events and other activities.
