Synthesia is expanding the use of AI in corporate education with Roleplay Sessions, a hands-on training experience that lets users interact with AI avatars. It plans to expand into other formats, including interviews and hiring assessments.
As reported by TechCrunch, Synthesia is expanding its efforts to demonstrate AI's impact on real-world business outcomes, beyond creating video courses. Roleplay will be the first release on the Sessions platform. Users interact with AI avatars, which evaluate them against predefined criteria.
Roleplay's main advantage is its combination of practice-based learning and assessment, with initial adoption expected in soft-skills areas such as sales training and leadership development. Customers can create their own training programs or work with Synthesia consultants to develop tailored solutions.
Roleplay is currently focused on businesses, but Synthesia plans to extend it to small and medium-sized businesses, individual users and educational institutions in the near future, using lower computing costs to drive adoption. The company expects businesses to place greater emphasis on demonstrating outcomes through practice, with the focus shifting from demos to results in the workplace.
