Monstarlab Holdings secured positive revenue of ¥3.9 billion and operating profit of ¥38 million for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026, while it posted a loss in the second quarter alone. The full-year forecasts were revised downward, with revenue changing from ¥8.5 billion to ¥8.0 billion and operating profit from ¥500 million to ¥220 million.
In APAC Japan, the transition from conventional product development to AI transformation was delayed. Revenue declined both year on year and from the previous quarter, resulting in an operating loss. CEO Inagawa Hiroki (稲川裕樹) explained that delays in the launch of new and existing projects were behind the downward revision.
Meanwhile, the U.S. business, centered on payment solutions, brought revenue and profit close to record levels. Ongoing orders for large projects in collaboration with key partners reportedly reached approximately ¥800 million. Strengthening delivery through a three-location operating structure is contributing to earnings.
For the second half, the company expects APAC Japan to return to profitability and plans to focus on expanding its enterprise business, strengthening its AI transformation structure, and accelerating growth in the U.S. business.
