Daito Trust Construction entered into an agreement to acquire all shares of the Coastline group, headquartered in Los Angeles, US. The company announced plans to bring property management functions in-house and grow its overseas business through expansion in Texas.
Daito Trust Construction entered into an agreement, through its US subsidiary, to acquire all shares of the Coastline group, with the aim of establishing an integrated in-house structure covering the full range of activities from asset management of rental housing in the US through renovation. The share acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of September 2026. The group is reported to have 63 employees in total.
The Coastline group comprises 3 companies, including Coastline Real Estate Advisors, Inc., and operates 3 businesses, asset management, property management and renovation, primarily in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The acquisition will establish a structure under which these functions are completed within the Daito Trust Construction group.
Daito Trust Construction is expanding its successful Los Angeles business model into other states, launching an acquire-renovate-resell business in Dallas, Texas, on 1 April 2026. Sales of the acquired properties began in mid-August of the same year. The company is expanding its business base from operations in California and Texas.
As a medium-term target, the company has set a plan to increase the total number of units under management across the group to 1.5 million, the world's largest total, by 2029, including 50,000 units overseas. The Coastline group's integration into the group is expected to support achievement of this target.
