In the Tokyo foreign exchange market on Monday the 5th, dollar-yen as of 5:00 p.m. reflected ¥0.08 of yen depreciation and dollar appreciation from the end of the previous week, with the dollar ending trading in the ¥157.65–¥157.67 range.
Against the euro, the yen moved toward appreciation and the euro toward depreciation, with the euro ending most trading at ¥176.57–¥176.61.
At the close, the market remained in a yen-depreciation trend.
