Le Hai Hoa, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, discussed with イエンバイ絹桑合作株式会社 the promotion of investment in a silk yarn spinning plant in the province and the development of raw-material production areas. Cao Bang Province’s plan is to establish the investment conditions and strengthen coordination with production areas, with the plant targeted to begin operations in the second quarter of 2027.
On the evening of 12 August, Comrade Le Hai Hoa chaired a meeting with イエンバイ絹桑合作株式会社 to discuss the investment policy for a silk yarn spinning plant and the development of mulberry and silk raw-material production areas in the province. Members of the Provincial Party Committee and vice chairs attended the meeting, where the participants also discussed the establishment of investment procedures and incentive policies.
イエンバイ絹桑合資会社 was established in 2020, and its main plant began operations in 2023. The plant is equipped with 6 modern machines and has annual silk yarn production capacity of 150 tonnes, equivalent to 1,200–1,300 tonnes of cocoons. It employs approximately 220 local people, whose monthly incomes range from VND 6 million to VND 12 million. Its export markets are India, Japan and Europe.
Under the plan through 2030, including the outlook through 2035, mulberry cultivation in Cao Bang Province will be expanded to more than 1,800 hectares, while annual cocoon production will be increased to 1,200–1,500 tonnes. The plan also aims to attract investment in at least 1–2 modern silk-reeling and spinning plants and establish an integrated value chain linking raw-material production areas with processing and sales.
The meeting reviewed the potential for the investment site, procedures, incentives, investment support and raw-material production-area development. It called for a review of public land, minimisation of land acquisition and the early conclusion of investment approval procedures in preparation for plant construction. The company needs to establish the conditions for the plant to begin operations by the second quarter of 2027.
