micia luxury, which operates the 1-million-member Gen Z community “sweet16委員会,” has announced a business partnership with Uniiique, which develops creators. The companies aim to build a next-generation marketing platform by integrating planning, production and operations.
micia luxury announced that it will integrate its Gen Z creator development, management and production businesses with Uniiique, drawing on its track record in planning and production. Under the new structure, creative operations, including planning, filming, editing and distribution, will change from micia luxury to Uniiique, while the companies continue delivering high-quality IP content centered on YouTube and vertical video.
The partnership is driven by the growing social acceptance of the culture of celebrating 16th birthdays and the companies’ aim to provide sophisticated Gen Z marketing solutions to businesses and local governments. The companies will strengthen safeguards for underage creators, including consideration for their schooling and thorough parental consent procedures, as well as compliance with Japan’s Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations and regulations on stealth marketing.
Going forward, the companies will pursue a range of business initiatives, including the nationwide rollout of sweet16party, literacy education programs in collaboration with educational institutions, and the planning and development of commemorative products, while promoting the discovery and development of the next generation of stars.
Through the integration of their groups, the two companies aim to strengthen compliance and establish a secure operating structure, while creating a new market centered on the milestone of turning 16.
