North Pacific Bank and TKC have entered into a business-matching agreement to support the expansion of overseas business. They announced that, through implementation support for OBM, they will establish a structure that enables Japanese parent companies to gain visibility into the financial condition of their overseas subsidiaries.
TKC Corporation announced on 17 September 2026 that it had entered into a business-matching agreement with North Pacific Bank concerning Overseas Business Monitor (OBM). Under the agreement, OBM will be introduced to companies that bank with North Pacific Bank, with implementation support provided by approximately 1,000 professionals affiliated with the Overseas Expansion Support Study Group of the TKC National Association.
OBM is a cloud service that enables Japanese parent companies to gain visibility into the financial information of their overseas subsidiaries. Overseas subsidiaries upload journal entries from their local accounting systems to TKC’s data center, where the information is converted into Japan’s account structure and displayed. The service also provides automatic Japanese-English translation and includes functions to support internal audits, according to the announcement.
The cumulative number of companies using the service has exceeded 1,800, and adoption is expanding across 40 countries worldwide. Its low implementation and operating costs have been well received, establishing a framework to support the overseas expansion of companies that bank with North Pacific Bank in a range of ways.
Going forward, TKC and North Pacific Bank plan to further strengthen their collaboration, with the aim of improving performance management for client companies pursuing overseas expansion and enhancing their competitiveness in international business.
