LOGISTEED WEST JAPAN will participate in the joint transport of steel products launched by Daido Steel and Proterial using a rail modal shift. The service will use round-trip transport between Nagoya-Minami Station and Hoki-Daisen Station, along with the joint use of dedicated steel-product containers.
LOGISTEED WEST JAPAN announced that the group's LOGISTEED WEST JAPAN will participate in the joint transport of steel products between Aichi Prefecture and the San'in region launched by Daido Steel and Proterial in August. The joint transport uses a rail modal shift and round-trip transport to improve logistics efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
The service will use rail between Nagoya-Minami Station and Hoki-Daisen Station, with both companies jointly using rail containers dedicated to steel products in a round-use transport arrangement. After unloading Daido Steel's products at the Yasugi Logistics Center in Tottori Prefecture, Proterial's products will be loaded for the return journey.
The initiative is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 62% and total driving time for truck drivers by approximately 76%.
