The new mascot's official name has been decided as FRAPYON and was announced at an event on 18 October. The name combines “Fra” from Fragolad with “pyon,” the sound of a rabbit hopping.
Three names were put forward as candidates, and voting on Rabirad, Kibappi and FRAPYON was accepted through a dedicated form. The final decision was announced at the event.
FRAPYON's concept is “the world's most devoted Fragola supporter and a head cheerleader who wants to become a player.” FRAPYON is expected to grow into a symbolic presence for Fragolad Kagoshima.
FRAPYON is a male Amami rabbit from Amami Oshima. He currently serves as head cheerleader and public relations representative for Fragola Feather and is working toward signing a player contract in the future.
