メンバーズ revised its first-half operating profit forecast downward from ¥320 million to an operating loss of ¥430 million. The full-year forecast was also cut from ¥2.5 billion to ¥200 million, sending the stock to its daily price limit.
メンバーズ hit its daily price limit after announcing a downward revision to its earnings forecast the previous day.
First-half operating profit was sharply revised from the previous forecast of ¥320 million to an operating loss of ¥430 million, while the full-year profit forecast was cut from ¥2.5 billion to ¥200 million.
The main reasons for the downward revision were reduced investment by some customers, an external factor, as well as lower utilization associated with the shift in the business structure and delays in responding to service changes.
Although the market had expected some downside risk, the scale of the revision was viewed as larger than anticipated.
