Deere (DE) raised its 2026 net income outlook, and its share price reportedly rose 7.9%, according to local media reports. This article outlines the key points of its third-quarter 2026 revenue and net income results, along with its future earnings outlook.
DE reportedly raised its 2026 net income outlook from $4.75 billion to $5 billion, sending its share price higher that day. In this context, the company’s investment case is described as resting on a combination of precision agriculture, construction and forestry, and financial services to support profits even as demand for large agricultural machinery remains weak.
According to the announcement, revenue in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 was $12.608 billion and net income was $1.379 billion. The upward revision reflected the previous revision, and cost management and technology-led products and services were said to be offsetting the decline in demand for large machinery as weakness in end markets continued.
Investors should also note the extent to which incentives and financing are being relied on to support demand. It has also been pointed out that the effects of tariffs and financial tools, as well as credit quality risks, could affect future profitability.
Deere expects revenue of $48.4 billion and profit of $9.3 billion by 2029. Achieving this would require increasing profit by approximately $4.5 billion while current revenue growth remains flat.
