東京ボード工業 and 三洋UD have established a flooring-material recycling system that converts 100% of wood waste from construction sites into new resources. The system combines the wide-area certification obtained by 三洋工業 and 三洋UD with the material recycling system of the contractor entrusted with operations. The entire process, from collection at construction sites through product supply, is centrally managed.
東京ボード工業 and 三洋UD have jointly launched a circular model in which wood waste discharged from construction sites is collected, recycled into new resources, and repurposed as flooring materials. The model combines a collection system based on wide-area certification with 三洋UD’s recycling technology.
The circular model consists of three pillars. First, wood waste is promptly collected from construction sites under the wide-area certification. Second, the collected wood waste is used as 100% of the raw material to manufacture recycled particleboard. Third, the product is supplied as underlayment for flooring at construction sites, bringing it back into circulation at the site.
E・V・A Board has obtained certification under the international EPD International standard and Japan’s SuMPO EPD standard, enabling calculation of CO₂ emissions across its entire life cycle. Logistics are centrally managed by 東京ボード工業’s subsidiary ティー・ビー・ロジスティックス, which handles transport to and collection from construction sites.
In April 2025, the two companies also obtained wide-area certification jointly with 三洋工業. Through these initiatives, they will support property owners and general contractors in achieving carbon neutrality.
