SBI Securities and Simplex announced that their jointly developed asset management app, “SBI Securities Plus,” had won the 2026 Good Design Award organised by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. In the wake of the new NISA, the app was recognised as an easy-to-use tool that helps beginners understand their asset holdings and supports individual asset formation.
Its main features include: ① a simple, intuitive UI that enables users to grasp their asset holdings at a glance, with unified management of domestic and overseas equities, investment trusts, NISA and iDeCo assets; ② AI-generated news summaries and market trend information available within the app, providing easy access to information useful for investment decisions; ③ usability centred on “see, notice and think,” designed for everyday users and intended for everyone from beginners to experienced investors; ④ a policy of continuing to improve the service after its release; and ⑤ cumulative downloads of 1 million approximately 5 months after launch.
The judges praised the practical value of a UI designed with beginner investors in mind and the organisation of information using AI. In their acceptance comments, the companies expressed their intention to continue improving the service based on user feedback, and expectations were voiced for further expansion of its functions.
