カオピーズ and ikiteru have concluded a memorandum of understanding for strategic cooperation on systems development for the funeral industry. By combining development capabilities based in Vietnam with on-site expertise, the companies aim to promote operational efficiency and digitalisation.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation in systems development and technology solutions for the funeral industry was concluded on 19 October 2026. The companies involved are 株式会社カオピーズ and 株式会社ikiteru, which will jointly address challenges related to operational efficiency and digitalisation at worksites.
As background to the cooperation, ikiteru has a track record in operational support for the funeral industry, identifying on-site challenges and improving operations, while カオピーズ has supported the digital transformation of Japanese companies by leveraging development capabilities in Vietnam. The companies will establish a framework for providing one-stop solutions that reflect the funeral industry’s unique practices.
The cooperation will prioritise systems development aligned with business operations. The companies plan to collaborate from the upstream stages through operations, covering assessment of current on-site conditions, requirements definition, design, development, testing, maintenance, operations and additional development. By using its development base in Vietnam, the companies aim to develop systems at appropriate costs while maintaining quality.
Going forward, the companies will gradually expand the provision of systems development and digital solutions for the funeral industry based on this MOU. They aim to help reduce the burden on worksites and address labour shortages by creating an environment that gives industry workers more time to focus on the deceased and their bereaved families. They will continue pursuing results from cooperation that leverage the strengths of both companies.
