Fujitsu will conduct a proof-of-concept at Fujitsu Technology Park from 3 August to 25 December 2026, working with Tokyu Construction and Kitano Construction to manage construction progress and risks at construction sites using AI.
Fujitsu is conducting a proof-of-concept jointly with Tokyu Construction and Kitano Construction to assess the effectiveness of AI supporting construction schedule management. The project covers a redevelopment project within Fujitsu Technology Park (FTP), and will evaluate the benefits of applying AI to multiple construction works carried out concurrently.
Using data such as schedules, daily reports, procedures and inspections, the AI aims to present the construction schedule one to two months ahead and potential omissions in the arrangements for materials and personnel, together with supporting information. The proof-of-concept will assess whether the AI can also accommodate the different data formats and business processes used for each construction project, including drawings and daily work reports.
The objective is to improve productivity and support the transfer of knowledge at increasingly complex construction sites by reducing the workload of site managers and improving the accuracy with which AI detects the risk of missed preparations and construction delays.
The proof-of-concept is scheduled to continue from 3 August to 25 December 2026, with Fujitsu working with Tokyu Construction and Kitano Construction to assess its effectiveness.
