TOPPAN will participate in Rapidus CORE as a Design Solution Associate, providing design resources that connect customers with Rapidus and strengthening support from design through manufacturing. The initiative is intended to accelerate the development of an ecosystem for advanced semiconductors.
TOPPAN, a subsidiary of TOPPAN Holdings, has announced that it will participate as a Design Solution Associate in “Rapidus CORE,” the global ecosystem framework being developed by Rapidus. Through the provision of design solutions, TOPPAN will connect customers with Rapidus and provide support spanning design, circuit design, layout and physical verification.
The spread and increasing performance of AI are driving the transition to next-generation nodes, including the 2nm generation, while the associated complexity of LSI design is becoming a challenge. Rapidus is developing an ecosystem linking design with front-end and back-end processes, with the aim of creating value through an open collaborative structure led by partners. TOPPAN will draw on its long-standing LSI design expertise and know-how in optimizing EDA environments to provide comprehensive support from customer requirements studies through design, layout and verification.
The future goals include improving the sustainability of the next-generation semiconductor ecosystem through participation in Rapidus CORE and contributing to the resolution of social issues and the creation of new value using advanced semiconductor technologies.
