KKR, a US investment firm, announced that it will acquire Ci FLAVORS (Minato, Tokyo) and signed the definitive agreement. The acquisition will be carried out through the purchase of all shares held by existing shareholders, including L Catterton, and is expected to be valued at just under ¥100 billion. Under KKR's ownership, the company is expected to pursue acquisitions of other companies in the same industry and expand overseas in an effort to increase its corporate value.
Ci FLAVORS was established as a holding company in 2021 and operates brands including its flagship &honey. Its business is centered on premium haircare and skincare products made with natural ingredients.
The company has brought multiple businesses under its umbrella and pursued overseas expansion under L Catterton. In addition to its relationship with LVMH, it invested in ヤナギキャピタルパートナーズ in 2025, which is backed by Thailand's CP Group and a Taiwanese financial institution.
