The Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) denied the claim that YTM’s asset-protection regulations were first established in July 2026, explaining that the provisions had been incorporated into the Capital Markets Law since December 2012 and into the YTM regulations since June 2013.
SPK announced that the claim that provisions concerning YTM asset protection were first established in July 2026 had no basis.
The Board pointed out that the claim had circulated through certain media outlets and social media with the aim of misleading public opinion.
SPK emphasised that the provisions had been incorporated into the Capital Markets Law since 30 December 2012 and into the regulations concerning YTM since 6 June 2013.
The Board concluded its statement with the words, “We respectfully make this public.”
