デルソーレ and MOTEX have published a case study on using the Cybersecurity Handbook in security training for mid-career hires. Even within limited training time, the program uses interactive quizzes to encourage participants to think for themselves and learn to choose the appropriate response.
デルソーレ conducted training during its orientation for mid-career hires, using MOTEX's Cybersecurity Handbook, “Security: 7 Habits and 20 Examples,” as training material. The handbook is provided free of charge as part of a co-creation-based security awareness project. Through quizzes based on scenarios that could arise in everyday work, the program aims to provide participant-centered learning in which participants think for themselves and choose the appropriate response.
The initiative was introduced against a backdrop of increasing threats that exploit human judgment, including phishing scams and targeted attack emails. Improving human literacy, in addition to implementing technical measures, is therefore considered important. Orientation sessions for mid-career hires at デルソーレ had been held irregularly, creating preparation challenges, so the company sought to make its training more efficient and practical by using the handbook.
デルソーレ's training allocated 45 minutes for each department and was structured in two parts: basic information on internal systems and security education. The security education comprised a lecture based on the handbook and interactive quizzes using familiar scenarios. Participants were given opportunities to think and speak for themselves, strengthening training designed to connect security with daily life rather than ending with simply “knowing” about it.
After the training, the handbook continued to be used as a prompt for raising security awareness in daily life and at work. Its placement on posters and in shared spaces encourages ongoing learning. DEL SOL E's educational materials are based on PowerPoint materials provided free of charge by MOTEX, with デルソーレ adding its own rules and editing them for internal use.
The case study page for this initiative provides details on the background, how the materials are used, the effects of implementation, and comments from those responsible. MOTEX plans to continue supporting the wider adoption of security education by providing the handbook and conducting awareness activities.
