FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation reported results for the April-June 2026 quarter. Net income fell 30% year on year to ¥37.4 billion, weighed down by higher costs to start up CDMO plants and upfront costs for an ERP system overhaul.
FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation's consolidated results for the April-June 2026 quarter showed revenue of ¥826.4 billion and operating income of ¥51.1 billion, while net income fell 30% year on year to ¥37.4 billion. A major factor was the increase in costs associated with starting up a new plant for its CDMO (contract development and manufacturing organization) business. Sales of cameras and semiconductor materials increased, while office equipment sales declined. Higher upfront costs for an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system overhaul also weighed on earnings.
For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company raised its full-year revenue forecast to ¥3.56 trillion, up 6% from the previous fiscal year, from its previous forecast. It left its net income forecast unchanged at ¥280 billion. Sales of semiconductor materials are expected to exceed plan, while cost increases resulting from higher raw material prices are also expected to exceed assumptions.
Regarding the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in July, the company said that production facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture had not sustained any significant damage and were scheduled to resume operations sequentially from 2 August. Some delays in deliveries to customers are expected, but the impact on earnings is expected to be minor.
