Yoshimura Food Holdings announced its results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2027, with both revenue and operating profit reaching record highs. Domestic M&A and accelerated overseas expansion have continued to support the maintenance of profit margins and the expansion of the company’s business scale.
The results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2027, disclosed on 15 October 2026, showed revenue of ¥32.54 billion and operating profit of ¥2.48 billion, representing substantial year-on-year increases of 22.4% and 31.2%, respectively. The company achieved record-high results for a first half, and raised its full-year forecasts to revenue of ¥67.0 billion and operating profit of ¥4.8 billion.
The company views proactive domestic M&A, the creation of synergies within the group, and overseas expansion centered on Hong Kong and Singapore as the main drivers of its performance. It is strengthening the overseas expansion of high-value-added products, including increased exports of processed seafood products, while seeking to benefit from platform effects by integrating the group’s purchasing, procurement and sales channels.
Financial soundness remains at a stable level, with total assets of ¥46.2 billion, net assets of ¥17.8 billion and an equity ratio of 38.2%. Although interest-bearing debt has increased in connection with M&A financing, the company is gradually maintaining its financial soundness through repayment from cash flow and growth in assets.
Ahead of the next earnings announcement, the pace of new M&A announcements, trends in the overseas segment’s profit margin, raw material costs including the effects of yen appreciation and depreciation, and the specific results of cross-selling within the group are expected to be key areas of focus, as the sustainability of the company’s growth continues to attract market attention.
