Sony Group raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Revenue was raised to ¥13 trillion, operating profit to ¥1.87 trillion and net income to ¥1.33 trillion.
Sony Group announced after the market close on 5 November that it had raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Revenue was raised from ¥12.5 trillion to ¥13 trillion, operating profit from ¥1.72 trillion to ¥1.87 trillion, and net income from ¥1.21 trillion to ¥1.33 trillion.
The reasons for the upward revision included revenue contributions from the theatrical release of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” an increase in sales of game software not developed in-house, and higher streaming revenue in the music business. As a result, results are expected to exceed the previous forecast.
