SANEI extended its decline in the afternoon session and revised down its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The new forecast was changed from revenue of ¥30.8 billion to ¥29.5 billion, operating profit of ¥2.0 billion to ¥1.1 billion, and net income of ¥1.28 billion to ¥650 million, shifting from a forecast increase in profit to a forecast decline.
The interim results for the six months ended September, announced at the same time, were revenue of ¥14.441 billion, up 2.9% year on year, operating profit of ¥333 million, down 50.1%, and net income of ¥175 million, down 60.3%.
The downward revision was attributed to sluggish demand resulting from the slump in the housing market and persistently high raw material and purchasing costs.
