Japan Post Bank announced that operations at approximately 5,400 ATMs installed at FamilyMart stores will end successively over 3 years from January 2027. The measure is based on the end of the ATM installation agreement with FamilyMart, and the specific end date and time will be announced for each store. FamilyMart and Seven Bank have reached a basic agreement on ATM installation, and Seven Bank will replace FamilyMart's ATMs going forward.
After operations end, Japan Post Bank cash cards will be accepted at the ATMs Seven Bank installs at FamilyMart. As a result, fees for some services may change from the current free-of-charge status to paid services. FamilyMart and Seven Bank reached a basic agreement on ATM installation in September 2025 and plan to replace approximately 16,000 ATMs nationwide.
