This example of an E51 Elgrand finished in the style of a NISMO model uses genuine Nissan parts. The owner combined repurposed OEM parts with one-off custom fabrication to create a vehicle resembling a special factory edition.
タクト type LD, who owns a 2005 E51 Elgrand, created his ideal vehicle using an aero kit from NISMO as the base, along with repurposed OEM parts and one-off custom fabrication. Although no NISMO specification existed as a completed vehicle, he pursued a distinctive finish by unifying the front and rear with NISMO parts.
At the front, he added new ducts to the NISMO-based design and integrated daytime running lights, then added a one-off flap underneath. At the rear, the NISMO bumper was modified to incorporate Z34 back-up lights, creating a diffuser-like design. The taillights are genuine Rider parts, while the roof spoiler is an option originally made for the Rider, combining different genuine parts to create a cohesive look.
The car runs on 20-inch SSR Professor SP3 wheels, behind which Z34 Fairlady Z genuine brakes have been repurposed front and rear, creating a combination that highlights the red calipers. The V6 FR-based layout has been retained, with a stance focused on balancing comfort and driving feel. Although the owner has also moved on to current cars, he says he has no intention of letting go of the E51.
As an event related to the car, the “All-Generation Elgrand Joint Meet in Niigata” was held on 4 October 2026, providing an opportunity to rediscover the appeal of the car through interaction with participants and visitors. The owner says, “The Elgrand's appeal lies in its engine and FR-based platform,” and values the 16-year relationship he has built with it.
