Fast Retailing shares rose as high as 3.41% to ¥74,220, while September domestic same-store sales increased 10.8% year on year. Strong sales of autumn and winter products reportedly supported buying in the stock.
Fast Retailing shares temporarily rose ¥2,450 from the previous Friday’s close, climbing to ¥74,220. The stock remained firm in the market and helped lift the broader market.
UNIQLO’s domestic same-store sales, announced the same day, rose 10.8% year on year in September, marking the first increase in two months. The company explained that autumn and winter products drove demand higher.
In response, investors moved to buy first, and buying momentum in Fast Retailing shares was reportedly sustained.
