スマートスケープ and Dentsu Soken Thailand have partnered to begin sales and provision of SS4M in Thailand, using a digital platform for Japanese-developed 3D design expertise. The companies will strengthen their local support structure and aim to enhance design and development capabilities in the manufacturing sector.
As the first phase of its international expansion, スマートスケープ has begun sales and provision of SS4M, a Japanese-developed 3D similar-shape search system, in Thailand. Its local subsidiary, Dentsu Soken Thailand, is responsible for close-to-market sales activities and technical support, helping strengthen the design and development capabilities of Thailand’s manufacturing industry.
Against a backdrop of its efforts to provide a digital platform that promotes Japanese companies’ overseas expansion and the use of design assets locally, スマートスケープ is pursuing rapid business development in Thailand through a partnership tailored to local market conditions, making use of local sales channels and networks. Thailand has a large number of Japanese companies, and demand is considered high for the reuse and standardization of design assets.
Looking ahead, the companies aim to expand their partnership in Thailand and, by building a track record of support in the manufacturing sector, achieve annual sales on the scale of ¥100 million within 5 years. Through the use of SS4M for such applications as parts reuse in design and more efficient quotation work, they will promote the effective use of design assets and the transfer of technical expertise.
SS4M is a 3D similar-shape search tool that automatically searches existing parts data accumulated from past design and manufacturing expertise based on shape. It supports the reuse of parts in design and contributes to greater efficiency in design processes and lower costs.
