ASUENE Corporation has added a feature to its AI sustainability integration platform ASUENE that centrally manages the double materiality assessments required for CSRD compliance. This enables users to progress from assessment and identification of disclosure items through to preparation of audit evidence on a single screen.
ASUENE Corporation announced that it has added a new “Double Materiality Management” feature to its AI sustainability integration platform ASUENE, enabling centralized management of the double materiality assessments required for CSRD compliance. Double materiality assesses both impacts on society and the environment and the financial effects of those impacts, and is used to identify disclosure items under the ESRS.
The new feature enables users to register and assess IROs (impacts, risks and opportunities) from environmental, social and financial perspectives, score them based on factors including scale, scope and remediability, and visualize the results in a matrix. It also provides a function that automatically identifies CSRD/ESRS disclosure data points based on the double materiality assessment results, as well as a gap analysis function that displays the input status of data points on a single screen.
The feature is expected to enable companies to complete their double materiality assessments, supporting rationales and organization of disclosure items internally, improving the efficiency of annual assessments and ongoing operations, and facilitating audit procedures. With the aim of accelerating CSRD reporting by Japanese companies, ASUENE is also considering expanding the scope of coverage in the future to include domestic and international disclosure standards such as SSBJ and ISSB.
