日本PCサービス株式会社 announced that it will provide free data recovery for digital devices as part of its support for disaster-affected areas. The service covers diagnosis of affected devices and data recovery work.
Applications will be accepted from 4 September 2026. Eligible devices include smartphones, tablets, computers and external storage devices. Return shipping and the cost of the storage destination for the recovered data will be borne by the user.
The areas eligible for free service are limited to areas covered by the Disaster Relief Act, and the eligible areas will be determined based on announcements by the Cabinet Office. The coverage may be expanded if additional areas become eligible.
After an application is submitted, the device will be sent by mail to a store designated by the company.
