アンドエスティHD's special subsidiary ウィーアー, whose business is supporting employment for people with disabilities, launched its hydroponic farming business, EVELEAF, on 31 August. Staff with disabilities grow pesticide-free vegetables and supply them to restaurants and employee cafeterias operated by the group company ゼットン.
Hydroponic farming can be conducted indoors, so it is not affected by the season or temperature and places less physical strain on workers. The company plans to increase the number of farms as the business expands and grow vegetables in each region. It also plans to begin cultivation only after supply destinations have been confirmed, with the aim of reducing food waste.
