SBI Insurance held a traffic safety class for children at Komazawa University as part of the autumn nationwide traffic safety campaign. Eighteen children tried riding bicycles using the “Henshin Bike,” and original reflective-material wristbands were distributed to promote safety at dusk.
As a member of the SBI Insurance Group, SBI Insurance provided cooperation and operational support for the 30-Minute Bicycle Class hosted by Vitamin-i Factory Co., Ltd., as part of the autumn nationwide traffic safety campaign. Employees who volunteered through an internal recruitment process called on participants to follow traffic rules and observe proper etiquette, providing parents and children with an opportunity to learn together.
The class used illustrated boards depicting traffic situations for quiz-based learning. In preparation for earlier sunsets, participants were encouraged to turn on bicycle lights at dusk, and the importance of wearing reflective materials was emphasized as a safety measure. Original reflective-material wristbands were also distributed to help improve visibility.
In the bicycle class using the “Henshin Bike,” participants first learned balance while the pedals were removed, then attached the pedals and tried riding the bicycle. Eighteen children experienced riding, and their parents and children were seen celebrating their progress together.
SBI Insurance says it will continue initiatives aimed at creating an environment in which children can grow freely and safely, and at raising awareness of traffic safety in local communities.
